I SAW IT ALL WITH NO COLOUR

A first try at b&w. 

I actually found it quite liberating as I don't have to worry about clashing colours as I do all the time when I shoot colour. Then again, it takes twice the effort to try to make b&w shots look interesting.

From top, a little beach holiday, on our blades at east coast park, good food & a favourite classica sister, hermes exhibition at the old KTM railway building (art deco!) and the good old Raffles Hotel.

It was a nice surprise to find these, after seven years of being tucked unnoticed in a corner of my hard drive.

Goldfishes can be so pretty.

AS WE GO INTO SEPTEMBER

A park near home, fast becoming a favourite. Next time we'll go with a picnic basket and a book.

My usual 'whatever' salad, on top of the usual lettuce, tomatoes and sprouts I throw in chikuwa, sunflower seeds and anchovies, whatever I like.

And love is... ...taking turns on the cushy bird-watching pillow by the window...

SCENES FROM AUGUST, JULY & A BIT OF JUNE

An extremely random post.

Though I'm trying hard to keep up with the shooting.

There was an Hermes exhibition at the now defunct KTM railway station.

It was only later that I realized I was probably more interested in the venue than anything else. I have no photos of the exhibition at all in this row.

We need more rain here honestly. It's been so hot.

Strolling in parks near home.

A favourite basket. My mom used to store oranges in it but gave it to me after she saw that I liked it.

Another new favourite. A birthday present from HC.

It's a two-way linen bag, big and strong enough for my cameras but small enough for my frame. I love it.

Introducing Ebi, named after Ebi-chan just for laughs. Though perhaps she does have her own supermodel look.

A book and a cat and a bed. A perfect Sunday afternoon.

MORE HOME & CAT

Some scenes that greeted me when I got home a little earlier from work the other day. I love that light in the evenings.

A few things to share. I've been very inspired by this photo series by Brian Ferry, and also this apartment in Japan, that clutter-free look and colours... ...it has everything that I like.
