NO CASINOS PLEASE


It was a day trip to Macau last Sunday with my funny classica sisters. We decided there was going to be no casinos involved and explored the quaint Coloane island instead. Free of tourists it was so peaceful and such a beautiful beautiful place.

On the way there we passed by the flashy casinos, gaudy unreal things sticking out against the natural landscape. A friend told me that almost 70 percent of the people there have their lives woven around them which is such a sad thing. No place should ever have to be defined by gaming.

    I love seeing houses covered in vegetation..especially that one in the second photo where the house is also topped with pink flowers!

    At first your photos have reminded me of Italy. Especially the second photo. These flowers grow on the houses on the lake too.

    I had no idea Macau was this beautiful! I always imagined it to be a tropical version of Las Vegas. I'm loving all your photos here!

    omg how cute are the 3rd and last shots and the that HAT... i am loving this hat. the flowers growing on the house, so unexpected and wonderful, like the earth taking over what man has made, making a statement. these photos are so great and made my day. i always look forward to opening your site when i see you have posted something new.

    Thank you!! I was lucky to have friends to bring me around, and who likes the same things as I do, or else I don't think I'll have been able to navigate Macau on my own.

    Li+Belle: The colonial influence there was the strongest I've ever seen in any place I think.
