WHILE WAITING FOR B

A day in the life with these two.

Little pea's very own cuppa for the first time (no worries it's not coffee).

Our last day in HK.

@ Mansons Lot

WANDERING THE STREETS

We thought the little pea would enjoy looking at birds, flowers and fish so we headed for Mong Kok with B on the second day. They didn't disappoint, she especially loved the birds.

Later at the pretty cafe recommended by S (I didn't do my homework this time). The mocha was good.

Next day at Wan Chai, another one of the areas I like. The building of the Comix Home Base was beautiful, and HC was in his element.

TRAM OH TRAM

The best thing I love about HK. So glad they're still around.

AT THE PMQ

The Police Married Quarters (PMQ), one of the very few specific places I wanted to visit this time.

As usual, I wasn't as interested in the shops as I was into the architecture. On hindsight, I realized I have no photos of the shops at all.

As we entered, a glimpse of the formidable slopes of HK. I hope the driver was not on manual.

Refurbishments were beautifully done, no?

It's rare to find a tree in this city, let alone a cluster like this. The people in these blocks are really lucky.

Cheeky, as always.

We had a hard time finding places for her to run and play freely this time round, among the busy streets and narrow pavements.

I think she had a really good time here.

THE MESSY GRITTY CHARM THAT IS HONG KONG

I haven't done Hong Kong in a while, around 6 years to be exact, but it was really good to be back. No grand plans this time (not even that famous theme-park), we just wanted to relax, hang around and catch up with old friends, which I am happy to say, was exactly what we did.

We got an apartment in Sai Ying Pun, which was perhaps a strange choice for many, but it was within easy walking distance to Sheung Wan and SoHo, areas which I love, and it had lots of good food.

Missing you B, P, S and N. Meanwhile, I shall wait (im)patiently for your next visit to Singapore ;)

MISSING HK

One of my fave things about HK. The driver from the 'Hong Kong' tram in the first photo smiled and waved a greeting to me as he drove past. I heard there are plans to replace them with modern-looking metallic ones. If there's any HK officials reading this, I want to say, "please please please don't."

Hello people.

Hello vertigo.

This shop was incredibly hard to find. I don't think I'll recommend it unless you're a hardcore lomo fan. For normal lomo supplies, you can check out Log-On in City Super. I got all my lomo films there during my stay.

As I'm getting to the end of my photos from the last trip, I'm finding myself missing the place very much.
