A VERY GOOD DAY

I often think that the best thing about getting to this point in life is getting a place of your own; and among friends, the fun of visiting each other at home. No packed malls, no crazy queues at cafes, no deafening ambient noise, just lots of home-cooked food (that miso chicken was yum!), good conversation, and often an odd 'visitor' poking around with her classica, snap-snapping away ;)

On another note, our planning for the autumn trip is more or less done. We are going to Japan (yes! again!), this time down south to Kyushu. I am all so ready to pull on my scarves and boots, and see some beautiful mountains and valleys again.

Chat again soon.

  1. I couldn't agree with you more! My boyfriend and I have just moved from our suburban home to a (more) central London flat and we are over the moon! I simply cannot wait for friends to pop over for tasty nibbles and vice versa!

Your flat looks extremely stylish and I adore the photography on your blog :)

  2. Hello! I stumbled upon your wonderful space yesterday. Likewise, I share a similar indescribable liking for Japan and hope to discover more of the country through your lenses. Keep writing & snapping, Shirley!

    1. It belongs to my friend, Lauren and she says it's a Rob Ryan plate. I think you can try googling him, he's quite famous for his paper cuts I think :)

  5. Is this your place? Looks very chic and adult with dark furniture and dark window frames.

    1. Oh yes the food was really good! But unfortunately that's not my home, I wish I have space for a little garden like hers.
