AKAROA IN BLUE

A few of my favourites from Akaroa. I'm not totally done with NZ yet, so I'll upload them on and off. It's a long weekend here and I've been catching up on some shuteye, reading about why the Danes are so happy, and Jante's Law.

I think Sandemose might have been leaning too much on one end of the scale but then again individualism never made anyone that happy either.

Maybe I need to start planning that trip to Denmark to find out ;)

  1. gorgeous photos :) and the US has proven that individualism not only doesn't necessarily make one happy (though i like our freedoms), we truly are not taking care of one another- the "me me me (and me first)" mentality is pretty cruel.

    1. Yeap I know what you mean, and you know because we can get so caught up with ourselves, we also tend to beat ourselves up and take things very hard when we fail. A lot of things depend on circumstance and at the end of the day a lot of things might not even be that big a deal don't you think?

  4. My parents recently got back from NZ. It seems like such an amazing place. I love your photos, such deep & gorgeous blues... What film gives this tint?

    1. I was mainly using the solaris film throughout this trip, it gives really interesting colours. Bad news is that I've heard they won't be in production anymore. Every time something like that happens I get so heartbroken.
